Ghost+Cow Films and Arachnids with Pistolas Productions will share their latest short film, PLAY HOUSE, at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival.

PLAY HOUSE is an official selection for the Midnight’s Short Competition at SXSW.  This Midnight’s Short Slot lends to the idea that PLAY HOUSE is geared to grasp strong reactions in an after dark setting for the late-night, ever curious, mind.

To give you more of an idea, PLAY HOUSE is set during the summer of 1988 in Ohio suburbia.  Harold’s family is crumbling before him.

His angsty son wants nothing to do with him, his daughter has become detached from reality, and his wife has fallen out of love with him.  The only thing left keeping the family bound together is Harold’s unconditional love for them.

This short film thriller takes its’ audience deep into how far a man is willing to go to keep his family under one roof.

The trailer alludes to the building disconnect among Harold and his son in particular.  PLAY HOUSE is directed by Brandon LaGanke and this film makes his 4th consecutive SXSW Official Selection.
