I discovered that the Mad Hatter Hotel ticked all the boxes I wanted for my most recent stay in London, especially since it had a decent pub downstairs.
The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Thames at Blackfriars Bridge and a 5 minute walk from Tube stations Southwark, Blackfriars and Waterloo.
Downstairs Pub — good old England. The Mad Hatter is also the name of the downstairs pub! It’s a Fullers pub which is great and you can get a free pint on arrival if you have signed up to their mailing list. London Pride is a top notch English beer.
The pub has hearty food menus too and a typical English interior decor. The rooms are upstairs so you don’t have to go far after partaking from your pub experience.
Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Biscuits – in England, you often get coffee, tea and shortbread biscuits.
