Nestled within a natural arena of vermillion-colored rock formations, the Enchantment Resort has a sense of rugged beauty about it from the surrounding Boynton Canyon in Sedona Arizona, yet is loaded with 5 star luxury on its grounds in a myriad of ways. The architecture is infused with nature, putting you in just the right mood to lap up a l’il pampering. Within those natural yet luxurious tentacles lies its on-site spa, Mii Amo, which has all the extras and trimmings you need to relax and get rejuvenated.
Even if you opt out of a traditional spa treatment, you can enjoy the spa area, which is surrounded by an indoor pool area, and relaxing cushions facing windows to the mountains, where you can take a nap, sip lemon water or tea and read a novel.
The waters are heated and….relaxing and all the amenities you could ever hope to need or want, are at your disposal.
Inside, the treatment rooms race Boynton Canyon, so you can never escape from the healing nature of the red rock formations that make Sedona such a healing center.
I opted for a massage but you can get a customized facial or a variety of other treatments. A daily resort fee allows you to take advantage of all that the Spa has to offer, including locker rooms, steam, sauna and whirlpool, fitness room, indoor grotto pool with fireplace, outdoor lap pool and deck, as well as participation in all fitness classes, guest lectures and other activities, which are bountiful. They include Yoga, Meditation, Watercolor’ing, Pilates, Qi Gong, Energy Dance, Stretching and more.
They have a fitness room, which is located on the first floor that includes a wide range of Matrix equipment including treadmills, free weights and a Pilates reformer. They also have personal trainers you can book if you’re into heightened fitness or if you want to relax, there’s a tranquil library and serene lounge areas.
What’s great about the fact that it is surrounded by healing red rock on all sides is that if you are there to connect with spirit, there’s red rock treatments, hypnosis, past life regression, breathing exercises, Cranial Sacral, Reiki, Astrology, Jin Shin Jyutsu and even interactive aura photography. There are classes on nutrition, Ayurvedic, clay wraps, detox treatments, reflexology and milk & honey baths.
Mii Amo has quite possibly the widest selection of healing, spiritual and luxury treatment options of any spa I’ve experienced, at least state-side.
