New York City is famous for its Sunday booze brunches. Hundreds of establishments offer delicious and decadent breakfasts paired with unlimited mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and Champagne for a set price, making Sunday the perfect opportunity for some delicious and budget-friendly day drinking. Along with enjoying a booze brunch at places like Essex, La Giara, HK and Cameo, New York City also offers the opportunity to hit the dance club. One hot Sunday spot is Bounce Sporting Club, where the spacious modern sports bar is literally packed to the brim with people dancing on banquettes, chairs and the floor, libations in hand.
Look around and you’ll notice the decor is inspired by the 50s and 60s, with antique wood, black and white sports photography, plush banquettes, high top tables and a back bar that gives the illusion of a vintage baseball scoreboard. The crowd is young, and you’ll even get the occasional celebrity visiting to enjoy the fun (last time I was there I saw Chris Humphries). There is no cover charge which makes this Sunday hotspot extra appealing. Two locations also make the venue easy to get to, with one in Flatiron at 55 W. 21st Street and Uptown at 1403 2nd Avenue.
