Epson’s Ultra Slim All-in-One-Printer For Pro-Quality Photos

Traveler and photographer alert: check out this incredible Epson XP-8500 all-in-one printer that the folks at Epson sent us to review. As both an avid traveler and photographer, this machine is a perfect device for anyone who shoots a lot and wants vivid and rich results from their pictures.

Officially known as the Expression Photo XP-8500, this slick and thin photo does more than just print photos with it’s all-in-one features and best of all, it’s also super quiet.  And, I’d argue, kinda stylish as far as printers go.

Epson XP-8500

Look at how compact this printer is, which is a godsend for those who live in small spaces, or are frankly on the go quite a bit, which is most of our readers. If you’re after an even smaller printer, then check out our review on Epson’s Workforce SF-100, the lightest, smallest wireless printer.

The beauty about this gem of a printer however is that while the Epson XP-8500 may not be the smallest or lightest, it does have multiple features that you need in your day-to-day life, making it a great viable option for printing your favorite travel photos and for other work and home needs.

Its design is sleek! Quite frankly, its design is one of the things we loved about it and one of the reasons we were keen to review it – who doesn’t love great design after all? It looks great in any home environment and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Sweet!

Of course, quality and features matter too.

Epson XP-8500 Features:

We absolutely love that this gorgeous 4-in-1 printer does so much and offers connectivity via wifi, a must for any printer in today’s modern world. You can print, copy, scan and produce ultra HD photos from the Epson XP-8500.

Epson XP-8500

The Epson XP-8500 produces borderless photos up to 8″ x 10″ with 6-color Claria Photo HD inks. Some added benefits include speed, mobility, ink cartridge flexibility and wireless capabilities as noted above.

  • Speed: You can print 4″ x 6″ photos on the Epson XP-8500 in as fast as ten seconds.  For black and white, it prints at around 9.5 ISO ppm and 9.0 ISO ppm for color.
  • Mobility: Built-in USB and memory card slots make PC-free printing easy. The rear feed accommodates specialty media, and there are dedicated photo and CD/DVD trays. Bravo!
  • Ink Cartridge Flexibility: Because this printer has individual inks, it mean you only replace the cartridge that runs out.
  • Wireless: This is a must, especially for travelers. Epson’s Creative Print App allows you to wirelessly print collages, stationery and more from your tablet or smartphone. And, set up is pretty straight forward.

Once you download their drivers, you can also select paper size too as there’s two different trays to select from. Recommendation: keep one tray for regular paper and one for glossy paper for your regular photo printing needs.

It’s under $250 so a nice price as well for the breadth of functionality and quality output.

Head on over to Epson and check out their printer section for their latest and greatest. As for this Epson XP-8500 printer, they have it on Amazon so head on over and get yourself one.
