If you’re a tea fan, I have great news for you for your next NYC trip! I thought I had already discovered the cream of the crop when it comes to tea spots in the city, but a new one has been added to the list: The Crosby Street Hotel in Soho! My mother-in-law and I went in February and had a fabulous time!
We got a table for two overlooking the courtyard garden, so had tons of sunlight–I would definitely recommend requesting a table by the window if possible. The restaurant was offering a special Valentine’s Day tea, complete with sparkling pink champagne (yes, please!), and pink and red sprinkled desserts. They were also super accommodating with making the savory sandwiches veggie friendly, which is always a plus.

And a really amazing thing about this particular tea service? If you’re watching your sugar intake, you don’t have to forgo the tea service all together, because they offer a DETOX TEA, which is the same three tiered service, just with healthier options. And by “healthier”, I mean it’s free of gluten, dairy, eggs, and refined sugar.
Quite a few tables around us ordered this, and it actually looked really tasty! Not that I was going to give up my chocolate Valentine bon-bons, but good for them! The traditional tea service as well as the detox go for $48 per person, and it’s $60 if you’re getting the champagne service.
