During this season of reflection, we’re reminded that beneath all stories, roles, and differences, there is one shared presence—one consciousness meeting itself in countless forms. May these days offer moments of stillness and quiet joy, where the sense of separation softens with the simplicity of presence and connection. This is the feminine principle of being over doing that I spoke of in my latest post.
As an American, this past year has been pretty mind-bending. Words cannot describe the chain of events and media reporting we’ve witnessed over the last twelve months. At home base, I continue to focus on unity, love, oneness and the things that connect us as a species rather than divide us. We can commit to loving kindness in our own backyards, doing what we can in little ways that can have a snowball effect, creating ripples that touch one soul at a time.

Certainly, it’s been a challenging year to bathe in positive emotions, when shock, grief and overwhelm keep hitting us over the heads. Alongside these feelings, something else lingers we can’t seem to shake: a fatigue many of us feel that masquerades as a new reality. We wonder what other distractions will harden us and what new headlines will push us to fear rather than trust. We wonder where else violence will repeat, and whether polarity will widen.
Some of the strongest people I know are also feeling the pain; they feel trodden on and beat up, as if our agency is on the way out. When the same story repeats long enough, our inner horizon recedes. What passes for practicality is frequently a body living on alert, unable to picture futures that don’t resemble the past. Under sustained stress, the body learns to expect injury and adjusts its expectations accordingly. Possibility shrinks—not as truth, but as protection—and we confuse that contraction with wisdom. In other words, we begin to inherit a pattern that unravels again and again. When we live inside it long enough, we start to believe it as our destiny.
Giving up or in has never been humanity’s fate; we carry a torch within us that shines bright when we speak our truth. Our resilience as a species is strong, for we always remember how to adapt even if it feels somewhat foreign at times.

When old structures no longer serve, we know how to reorganize and re-align even while the ground is shifting. We can’t afford to drown in the noise or resort to fear and helplessness. When things feel like they’re out of our control (or our reach), let’s not forget that each voice matters. Our actions matter. Even our intentions matter.

With your intentions, light candles with friends around a circle, regardless of how small. Even in quiet corners of the Internet, we can demonstrate care, tenderness and resolve. This care and the love that rises from the subtlest of actions, is humanity at its best. Our words, intentions, and actions travel across time zones, and our lit candles become flames that echo into the night: We are here, we remember, we refuse to harden. We’ll focus on loving kindness and connection even when things feel fragile or impossible.

Deep breathing allows us the necessary time to slow down and calm the nervous system—the quality of our breath is indeed the quality of our life. When we breathe deeply and sit in silence away from the noise and social media clutter, a clarity emerges or rather, resurfaces. It is truly a remembering of what we already know deep inside. Breathe into your own innate wisdom, for it is what this chapter is calling for at this time: Us to realize our own strength and ideals. There’s never been a better time to go inward. What do you resonate with deeply at your core? Sit with this for a while with your candle lit. Take a deep breath and remain steady. A message sent across oceans might return with a nod that says: I see this too. I feel this too. You are not alone.
Things are shifting despite the noise in the field that begs you to succumb to fear. Let your voice speak up and out . . . not through spectacle or force, but through a reorientation of global values that has been waiting its turn. Across cultures, a different intelligence is resurfacing: one that privileges connection over conquest, sensing over seizing, connection and integration over dominance. Feminine values are rising, slowly and steadily and these apply to everyone regardless of the gender you most align with. The feminine is not an identity but a mode of knowing—attuned, relational, embodied, and capable of holding paradox without reaching for destruction as relief.
Rather than react as the media giants and politicians want us to do, we can turn to coherence. This is the time to stay rooted in what we value and not retract or become complacent.
Light those candles. Shine those flames. Remain present to whatever emerges and whoever shows up. A culture that honors life, beauty, justice and connection, begins in the body, in the breath, in the choice to remain present rather than become numb. It grows through communities that remember their capacity to shape what comes next. The story is still being written, and how we show up now matters more than we’ve been told or feel is possible.

With this in mind, 2026 doesn’t need to arrive empty-handed. Let’s widen the field of creation, possibility, and even . . . fun. Go inward and trust, maintain your center and keep your flame lit.
May we remember the feminine art of resilience—not the kind that pushes through at all costs, but the kind that bends, rests, regenerates, and returns. It reminds me of Ping Fu’s beautiful book Bend Not Break, which refers to Eastern Wisdom when building her business. This resilience knows when to hold and when to release. It is the kind that trusts cycles more than straight lines and one that honors nature and our connection to her. May we honor intuition as a form of innate wisdom, tenderness as a form of strength, and relationship as the ground of all transformation. What we attend to grows; what we nurture remembers not just how to live but thrive.
This coming year invites us into deeper consciousness—to feel more, not less. To listen beneath the noise. To sense the subtle movements of truth within the body, the breath, the collective field. May we choose practices that keep us awake instead of armored. Let us cultivate inner spaciousness large enough to hold grief and despair with creation and beauty at the same time. And may our actions arise from our soul’s alignment rather than fear, for our Higher Self always chooses the opposite: Love. As Marianne Williamson and I echo in my podcast interview with her: Love is cool. It always has been.
As the calendar turns, let us walk forward in devotion to loving kindness and connection—within ourselves, within each other, and within the world. Renewal and transformation happens breath by breath, one step at a time. This is an invitation to become trustworthy stewards of life itself, where we choose love over numbness, truth over convenience, and consciousness over collapse.

What we choose to embody now becomes the future we are seeding. May we attune to the deeper currents moving beneath time, allowing ourselves to be shaped by the intelligence that creates stars and seeds alike. This requires time in silence so we can listen for the hidden instructions carried in silence and symbols. Remember, we are the gurus we seek out there; we’ve always known the way home, back to peace, back to connection, back to love.
