From December 4th to 8th, 2013, the Whistler Film Festival will celebrate its 13th edition as one of Canada’s leading festivals.

Featuring innovative and original films from around the world and opportunities to connect with the people who made them, this year’s five day Festival will be filled with a solid lineup of premieres, star studded guests, lively celebrations and unique industry initiatives.

Based in North America’s premier mountain resort just two hours north of Vancouver, British Columbia, the Whistler Film Festival Society (WFFS) is a charitable cultural organization dedicated to furthering the art of film by providing programs that focus on the discovery, development and promotion of new talent culminating with a must attend festival for artists, the industry and audiences in Whistler.

Committed to celebrating, promoting and developing a strong film industry in Western Canada, and to showcasing the best films from Canada and around the world, WFFS hosts a year round slate of events including one major annual festival and industry summit (Whistler Film Festival and Summit), professional development programs for Canadian talent and youth (Go West Producers Lab, Writers Workshop and Reel Canada), and monthly screenings of contemporary international films with post screening Q&As (Reel Alternatives).

Held over the first weekend of December every year, the Whistler Film Festival has become one of Canada’s leading film festivals and is an emerging force on the international circuit. Presenting 80+ films and hosting filmmaking luminaries for an intimate program of screenings, seminars, tributes and special events, this celebrated event is made up of key industry players with an audience of over 8,200 including 500+ industry insiders.
